What is a business accelerator?
A business accelerator is a program designed to provide resources and education for budding entrepreneurs.
Think of it kind of like a bootcamp. An accelerator provides exclusive access to resources like mentorship and investors who want to show you how to build upon your existing ideas and help you grow business.
There’s different types of accelerators available for different niches, with different requirements.
Our accelerator is perfect for you if you want to enroll in a virtual, remote accelerator and want to be able to complete the accelerator on your time. There’s no in-person trainings required and no deadlines.
Steam Hospitality: Our Mission
Steam Hospitality, founded by Tabetha Zimmerman, is a virtual business incubator and accelerator for underrepresented founders in the food and hospitality industry.
Our mission is to help 5,000 underrepresented entrepreneurs grow their businesses and in order to accomplish this goal by 2025 we have created this free business accelerator program.
Those who complete our accelerator will have the opportunity to be considered for our incubator program.
Our network includes founders and executives from industry-leading companies like The Four Seasons with decades of experience managing complex operations and multi-million dollar budgets.
In the last 3 years, our small business incubator has helped 80+ diverse and minority founders scale their businesses beyond their wildest expectations, and we’re just getting started.
70% of our incubator members have been food insecure and/or homeless, and 82% of our founders identify as womxn, trans, or non-binary. We have a special interest in the food and hospitality industry, and we love working with people who value sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Anyone can join our accelerator, including students, food and hospitality industry employees, gig workers, freelancers, young professionals, C-level executives, and everyone in-between.
